The way you see the problem is the problem

I simply had to log on today. Although it's past midnight and time to go to bed, it's over a week since my last entry and I had to dump a thought. Writing my evaluations I came to think of the following: take two employees producing the same quality of output, but one being a pain in the *ss in meetings, asking nasty and suggestive questions, the other one being a constructive & proactive individual offering solutions iso problems. Why does it make such a big difference for ME ? From an organisational perspective both individuals are productive - one of them just happens to induce allergic reactions with his boss (losing my hair not being one of those reactions - that's just happening). So, maybe the way I see the problem is the problem. Maybe I should just seek to understand more (instead of wanting to be understood).

Anyway, evaluations are as objective and result-oriented as possible, but let there be no doubt, there is a subjective side as well. The trick is to keep creating dynamics on that side - without the allergics.

Manager's Performance=IQ+2*EQ ?

Enough crap talk for the day.
